Summary

What Tim Ferriss has said about his own supplements, eating window, sleep setup and training, from his podcast transcripts, 5-Bullet Friday posts, X posts and older sleep guides (2015 to March 2026). Several brands he names (Momentous, AG1, Eight Sleep, LMNT, Seed, Helix, Pique) are sponsors of his podcast or newsletter, and he has said he invested in Maui Nui.

Everything below is what Tim Ferriss has publicly said, quoted and linked to the original source, with the date it was stated or, for an undated page, the date we accessed it. Gaps are marked “not publicly stated”. Tim Ferriss has not reviewed or endorsed this page.

Editor’s notes

Commercial ties. Many of the brands on this page pay Ferriss. His 5-Bullet Friday posts say “Each sponsored bullet has a star at the end”, and the starred 2024 bullets include Momentous, Eight Sleep, LMNT, Seed, Helix and Pique (Sep 2024, Nov 2024). He said he collaborated with Momentous on a bundle, calling it “my Performance Stack” (Sep 2024), and in March 2026 he said of Momentous creatine, “they’re a sponsor of the podcast” (#858). The Eight Sleep quote comes from a host-read ad in that episode’s show notes; the AG1 quote comes from a host-read ad that replaced the original AG1 read in those show notes after publication (first archived July 2026) (#858 show notes). He wrote that he “ended up investing in Maui Nui”, the jerky brand he names (Sep 2024). For the SiBio ketone monitor he wrote “I have no stake or association” (X, Dec 2025).

Context for the 2025 list. Most of the supplement list comes from one September 2025 Q&A recorded while he was recovering from elbow surgery, and he framed it that way (“right now I’m using a ton of stuff because of the surgery and surgical recovery”). In the same episode he said “Do not just copy paste this type of stuff for your own use.” (#826). The collagen, BPC-157 and blood flow restriction items are tied to that recovery, and no later source we have repeats them except blood flow restriction, which he said in March 2026 he has been “experimenting with” (#858).

Pattern. Across sources, the items he repeats are a small core: creatine, magnesium threonate and protein appear in both his 2024 sponsored posts and his 2025–2026 episodes. Most other items appear once. Doses are rare: he gave amounts only for creatine, ketone monoester, protein shakes, Seed, jerky sticks, cycling off supplements and the older sleep routine, and the page shows the rest as not publicly stated.

What changed. His sleep setup moved from a ChiliPad (2015 show notes; undated PDF) to an Eight Sleep Pod Cover, which he described in a March 2026 paid sponsor read. Breakfast protein in September 2024 contrasts with a 2–3 p.m. first meal in September 2025. Each version is dated in the timeline above.

Dates and gaps. The sleep PDF on tim.blog carries no publication date, so its items show the access date of the source only, never as a stated date. Podcast quotes come from official tim.blog transcripts, which have no timestamps. A May 2026 YouTube video with Elad Gil was not used because only auto-generated captions are available. He also named several prescription medications in the September 2025 Q&A; they are not listed here. None of the sources describe his bedtime, sleep duration, cold use or current training program; a 2024 sponsored bullet mentions sauna only in passing.

Changelog

Changes we’ve found Tim Ferriss publicly describing, each with its source and, where stated, its date.
  1. :
Described getting omega-3 mainly from food ("omega-3, I honestly try to get that from fish when I can"); this episode does not mention the fish oil he named in September 2025. Source: The Tim Ferriss Show Transcripts: The Random Show, Couch Edition! (#858) (Official transcript on tim.blog (no timestamps)), dated Mar 18, 2026 [2]
  2. :
Described a limit on ketone monoester ("I will not do 30") and comparing it to alcohol ("treat it like a shot of tequila"). Source: The Tim Ferriss Show Transcripts: The Random Show, Couch Edition! (#858) (Official transcript on tim.blog (no timestamps)), dated Mar 18, 2026 [2]
  3. :
Said the 2025 list was shaped by recovery from elbow surgery ("right now I’m using a ton of stuff because of the surgery and surgical recovery"). Source: The Tim Ferriss Show Transcripts: Q&A with Tim — Supplements I'm Taking, Recovering from Surgery, Intermittent Fasting, and More (#826) (Official transcript on tim.blog (no timestamps)), dated Sep 10, 2025 [5]
  4. :
Said he still takes only part of the PAGG stack from The 4-Hour Body ("I am still taking the AGG component of that") and would drop policosanol ("Policosanol is the only thing, the P of PAGG that I would put on the question mark chopping block if I were to update").
  5. :
Described a past phase of "three to four weeks of strict ketogenic diet" before starting intermittent fasting.
  6. :

Source: The Tim Ferriss Show Transcripts: Q&A with Tim — Supplements I'm Taking, Recovering from Surgery, Intermittent Fasting, and More (#826) (Official transcript on tim.blog (no timestamps)), dated Sep 10, 2025 [5]
  7. :
Described a goal of protein soon after waking ("hit my goal of 30 grams of quality protein within 30 minutes of waking up"). His September 2025 Q&A instead describes a first meal around 2 or 3 p.m. while intermittent fasting; both are dated statements, and neither source says when the switch happened. Source: My Favorite Software, Supplements, Apps, Tools, and More! (5-Bullet Friday), dated Sep 13, 2024 [8]
  8. :
Listed his sleep tools as a ChiliPad, hanging upside-down or traction, a Sleep Master mask with 3M earplugs, Yogi bedtime tea and "Visual overwriting (e.g. Tetris or Escape to River Cottage, Season 1)". Source: 5 Tools I Use For Faster And Better Sleep (#113), show notes, dated Oct 17, 2015 [9]
  9. Date not stated:
In an undated sleep PDF on tim.blog he wrote that he leaves out melatonin and prescription sleep drugs ("I deliberately omitted melatonin and prescription medications, which I don’t use unless adjusting to large time zone differences.").
