Editor’s notes
Commercial ties. In his 2022 supplement guide Greenfield writes that he went on “to co-found my very own supplement company, Kion”, and that the Kion products are ones “I use, endorse, and take daily” (guide). Most of the 2022 supplement doses on this page are Kion products: colostrum, Flex, creatine, Omega, Aminos, Clean Protein, Lean and Sleep, as well as Kion coffee. Two September 2026 X posts that name IM8, Tecton, BiOptimizers and Formula IQ are framed as an “End-of-Summer gift guide” (part one, part two).
Pattern. His most detailed routine pages are dated 2022 and 2023. The 2025–2026 material is mostly short X posts that confirm single items, such as creatine, magnesium, red light, gravity boots and strength training. A few items recur across years: creatine at 5 g (2022 guide, 2025 post and the morning routine page), BiOptimizers Magnesium Breakthrough (2022, 2026) and red light (JOOVV in Aug 2023, an iRestore helmet in 2026). Many other items, such as the peptides, enemas and the Orion bed device, appear in one post only.
What changed. The clearest shifts he has described himself are the move away from strict keto to 200–300 g of carbohydrates, mostly in the evening (2024). His essential amino acid amount also fell from 20 g three times a day (2022) to 20 g a day (2026). His wake time moved from about 6:30 (2015) to 4:30–5 a.m. (Aug 2023). All of these are dated in the timeline above.
Dates and gaps. The website articles show later modification dates, so each is dated by when its text can be confirmed. The 2022 supplement guide, the 2015 morning routine, the 2024 podcast transcript and the 2024 self-care article use their publication dates, because Wayback Machine captures from near publication contain the quoted text. Three products on the 2015 morning routine are worded differently in the Feb 2015 capture, so those items use the page’s Aug 28, 2023 modification date. The routines and eating articles have no capture before their Aug 3, 2023 modification and the daily routine article none near its 2018 publication, so they use their modification dates (Aug 3, 2023 and Jan 17, 2024). The podcast quotes come from the official transcript page, which has chapter markers that we didn’t match to individual quotes. The sources do not give his vitamin D use, sleep duration, sleep tracker, current sauna temperature or frequency, or any doses for the peptides, IM8 or Tecton.
Changelog
Changes we’ve found Ben Greenfield publicly describing, each with its source and, where stated, its date.- : Gave essential amino acids as "20g/day" plus 20–30 g of collagen, compared with 20 g of aminos three times a day in his 2022 guide. Source: @bengreenfield on X: essential amino acids and collagen (reply), dated Sep 27, 2026 [2]

- : Said he is "no longer the strict ketogenic diet endurance guy" and eats about 200 to 300 grams of carbohydrates, against the "30 to 60 grams of carbohydrates I used to have". Source: Transcript: Big Things I've Changed My Mind About: Keto, Carnivore, Cryotherapy, Statins, THC, Sleep Hygiene, Minimal Effective Dose Of Exercise & More (Official transcript page (quotes not tied to a timestamp)), dated Apr 11, 2024 [18]
- : Described a bedtime THC gummy as a past habit ("I had a period of time during my life where I swore by a little gummy before bed") and said he has become disillusioned with THC-rich cannabis.
